Farm Insurance

As the backbone of our insurance programs, our farm package is created with you in mind. Whether you own a large production farm, ranch or a country estate, our farm packages are customized to your needs. We offer several divisions of coverages with additional options added to each division. Below you will find a description of each division.

RESIDENCE & HOUSEHOLD CONTENTS:
This division of coverage insures your dwelling and mobile homes. Covered under this package is debris removal, trees and shrubs, lawn, fences, outdoor electronics attached to the home, refrigerated products, computer hardware and software, fire department coverage and credit card theft. Optional additions include inflation guard, earthquake and builders risk, among others.

BUILDINGS & BUILDING CONTENTS:
Under Division II, barns, silos, sheds, poultry houses, controlled-air storage, permanent equipment in buildings, and refrigerated contents are included. Optional coverages include consequential loss, tenent betterments, operations records, builders risk, growing crops in greenhouses, farming income loss, equipment breakdown and more.

FARM PERSONAL PROPERTY:
The third division insures livestock, farm machinery, farm products, tools and supplies, borrowed farm machinery, limited pollution clean up and property in the custody of a common carrier. Additional options include farm machinery for hire, rental reimbursement, property average coverage, special silo unloader and excess property away from premise.

SCHEDULED PERSONAL PROPERTY:
Division IV offers all-risk coverage for valuables you wish to insure. This includes jewelry, furs, coins, stamps, fine arts, silverware, musical instruments, cameras, golf equipment, bicycles, signs, guns, ATV’s, watercraft and snowmobiles.

LIABILITY:
The last division covers liable expenses such as medical costs, first aid, defense costs, bodily injury, property damage liability, farm chemical transportation and more. Optional coverages available include pick-your-own, personal injury, limited custom farming, fire legal liability, care, custody and control of livestock, home day care, advertising and Employer Practices Liability.

Commercial insurance is issued through Farm Family Casualty Company, Glenmont NY in CT, DE, MA, ME, NH, NJ, NY, RI, VA, VT and WV and United Farm Family Insurance Company in MD and PA.
